Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms are the agreement between you and Sitegrid when you use Sitegrid. By using it — including by accepting an invitation or a site — you agree to them and to the Acceptable Use rules.
The service
Sitegrid hosts websites and gives you an editor to build and change them. You get the tools and the hosting; you, or people you choose, build the site. Sitegrid does not design, write or maintain your site for you.
Accounts and invitations
- An account starts from an invitation. You sign in with a link sent to your email or with a passkey.
- Keep access to your email account safe: whoever can read it can sign in as you.
- Sites live in workspaces. A workspace's owners decide who joins it, what role each person has, and which sites a guest can work on. Owners can remove people at any time.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite.
Your content
- Your sites, text, images and form submissions stay yours. We use them only to run the service for you.
- You are responsible for your content: that you have the right to publish it, that it is lawful and that it follows the Acceptable Use rules.
- Changes you or the people in your workspace make are yours to check before publishing.
Availability and backups
We work to keep your sites online and the editor working, but we cannot promise the service will never be interrupted. Every live publish is kept in your site's publish history, and you can restore any earlier version yourself. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Moving a site between workspaces
A workspace owner can offer a site to someone else or move it to another workspace they own. When the move is accepted, the site and everything with it — its domains, publish history and forms — belongs to the new workspace, and that workspace's owners decide who keeps access. Only accept a site you mean to take on.
Ending your use
You can stop using Sitegrid at any time. We may suspend or remove a site or an account that breaks these terms or the Acceptable Use rules, or that puts other customers or the service at risk. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using Sitegrid after a change, the new terms apply.
